do they bring in their own staff, or are they forced to keep the remaining staff to preserve recruiting? Sounds like if it's the latter, potential chemistry and philosophical issues may develop between the new HC and remaining staff. Most new HC's want to bring their own people in - coaches they've had on staff, are familiar with, trust, and those who adhere to the same coaching style and philosophies of the HC. I can see a real clusterfluck materializing on the staff retention/selection issue. This is a real rush job, and whomever takes the job, either the new HC or RU, will have to make some concessions regarding staff. To bring in a jazzy HC on the rise, like Christobal, is just part of the solution. In reality, it appears to be somewhat of a stop-gap measure. That is, bring in the best available warm body and stop the bleeding by Wednesday. RU is desperate, and there is no time for a thorough, due diligence selection process. If I was a recruit making a critical decision on a serious collegiate commitment, especially at this juncture, this would be a major consideration to weigh.
