[QUOTE="JeremyCuse, post: 2561531, member: 43"] In an emergency situation or maybe in the tourney if a guy was smoking us and Desko thought Trimbo could match up maybe I could see that but to be honest I think its highly unlikely he would have him play defense purposely. As good as the offense looked vs Duke and against UVA and the second half of the Army game , its still had long stretches where it has struggled and we had a 15+ min scorless streak versus ND last Saturday. With this offense still trying to find itself you can't risk one of your top if not the top middie on the 1st line. JHU tried this the last two years with Tinney and it basically ran him into the ground. This year they dialed it back and he looks like a different player. Second concern would be an injury. Looks terrible if you lose one of your top Offensive players to a high ankle sprain or torn ACL chasing around Hobart's 3rd midfielder. Injuries can happen to anyone at anytime but it would be especially crushing to lose someone like him trying to play both ways. I did see Trimbo help in the clearing game coming out of the box which was nice to see. I think its good to think outside the box to try and help the SSDM position but I think you would be better off trying to working the 6-8 guys they already moved over there or look at a guy like Dearth whose having trouble playing strictly middie.
