Glad to see Dion get the quick hook for his poor shot selection. It's odd with Boeheim because he builds these guys up, and then he acts surprised sometimes when they start acting like "it's star time".
 
Scoop with a very solid game - 0 turnovers, a few clutch baskets. Kris was back in the saddle after a slow start. I think it helped that Dion sat most of the 2nd half, because it gave Kris some breathing room in the offense.
 
I liked seeing CJ hit a couple baseline jumpers and really compete. Southerland hit the boards pretty good and played big tonight as well.
 
I thought that Christmas finally got a sense of playing Big East quality basketball in the 2nd half tonight. Oh, he grabbed some rebounds in the 1st half, but he really was working hard for position and battling guys inside in the second half. He still semi-floated thru the first half, IMO. I thought Keita had some moments.
 
The lack of foul shooting, missing 7 out of 8 down the stretch including at least 2 1-and-1's, turned what should have been a 15 point win into a game that was much closer than it needed to be. Very nice bounce back win, against the 2nd place team at their place, in front of their biggest crowd of the year, and they start with 4 of 5 threes, all but one of which come from 25+ feet out.
 
Very solid win for our guys tonight. Nipped any potential losing streak in the bud, unlike last year's team, that lost 4 in a row after their season-opening streak was broken.
