quick thoughts

1- this is the early season game cooney needed. that 2nd 3 was pure. he attacks hard when he sees an opening- love that

2- little steps with dajuan.. every game he makes his move a little quicker.. and he is learning where the right spot to be is

3- mcw needs to slow down some.. but the kid is unguardable when he plays composed

4- grant has a great bball iq- kid is a bigtime player and nice insurance on the bench.

5- rak has got to own the paint... he gets passive on d too often- with that said the lightbulb is flickering.

6- james did a nice job not over forcing things.. ill take the 5 point games in blowouts if he is going to be lights out in the big games

Good post. Tonight was a big night for all of the frosh. Grant had his best all around game. Coleman had some struggles [Riley really played him tough defensively], but put together his best scoring game of his young career. And Cooney who'd been on an atrocious shooting slump got off the snyde by not only making two, but also throwing down that dunk at the end.

Today's game should be a big confidence booster for all of the frosh.

southerland 0-5 deep. go figure. and how in creation does cooney not get credited with an assist on that beautiful high arcing pass to a wide open keita under the rim??? totally caught the D off guard.

on a side note- i loved seeing riley play aggressive.. he was never going to be a for sure pro but im happy for him.. he makes emu a real threat in their conference

DC2 threw the ball down tonight instead of trying to flip it in. He needs to do that consistently.
