I've seen Hobart a few times this year online. There a better team then last year and played PSU tough for 3 1/2 quarters and lost to Cornell by a goal. That said they have severe limitations. They have zero in the way of depth especially on offense. Love is gone and one of their top returning scorers left the team early in the season. They do have a couple good young players but Mullins and Mellen should be able to neutralize them. Brown is their best offensive player by far and he is going to draw Mullins. Aslanian the other attackmen is probably their second best player he's getting Mellen. Their best midfielder is Donnelly and he's getting Firman/Fusco for sure. Alsanian is listed at 6'3 but he's a Freshmen so I think Mellen will get the call there. As I noted I can't say Mullins not getting Brown. Those three players make up pretty much a large chunk of the scoring for Bart. Their midfield isn't overwhelming and I don't think they have the ability to dodge against our SSDM the way Hopkins and Duke could. They also have almost zero depth at the midfield much like Duke so expect their first line to play a lot and get worn down. What Bart does have is an excellent goalie and a much improved faceoff squad. If this a close game late or if SU somehow loses its probably because Jackson Brown had 15+ saves and they held their own at the X. If Williams was at 100% I would still give him a big edge but clearly hes not himself right now, don't know if its mental or physical but he doesn't look right out there. Key in the game will be SU coming out and setting the tone and or a message early like they did last year. This is not the game to let Hobart hang around or be messing around trying to play everybody in there brother if were up a few goals. Hobart has a knack of playing us real close when the game is at their place. This team can't afford to get into a dogfight late.
