Yes, almost everyone looked out of sorts yesterday. Boeheim’s subs, or lack there of, are frustrating... Sidibe going down is the biggest takeaway, but aside from that, QG didn’t look near as athletic and bouncy as last season. Stat wise, sure- it looks good. He was able to rebound and finish inside and over ACC guys last yr. He looked to really be struggling against inferior players. I remember hearing he wasn’t quite back yet, about a month ago. I hope somehow he gets it back quickly. Anselem or Edwards in the middle might have to be the way to go if BS is out. With MD and this version of QG, we have no chance at stopping anyone inside. Thoughts?

Agreed, Very disappointing. Like last year very little lift. Case in point on his “4 point play” which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before (how did he not get a delay of game warning?). Was stuffed by some smaller players. Can’t seem to explode over guys.
On the bright side he has a couple nice post moves and never quits on a play, something we can’t say about our perimeter defenders on the top of the zone.

I have never thought of him as a bouncy player. I thought he rebounded the ball well and scored fine for someone who is the 4th option. Didn't try to do too much outside of a play or two. If he can develop a foul line jumper to go along with the rest of his game I will be happy

Everyone saw what happened on the double layup right? He was shielded from seeing what happened on the first shot, so he assumed he missed, rebounded the ball and made sure. It was a smart play.

First, double lay-up is awesome. Nobody does it enough.

Second, I thought maybe they were gonna call rim interference or something with the ball sorta bouncing about and hands on/around the rim...I was confused for a moment too.

When you're confused double lay-up alleviates the issue. I felt better. I hope Q did as well.

Quincy isn't as explosive as I expected, but he hustles his butt off, especially on the boards. He's one of those guys that other teams have that always seem to hurt us.

Maybe he has a future doing the sports on the nightly news

he looked about the same to me as usual. quick jumper but doesn't get that high..so he can get alot of boards, but he also gets packaged quite a bit.

I saw things differently with Quincy. He and AG actually fought each other for quite a few rebounds surrounding Bryant's frontcourt. QG was aggressive and made a number of nice plays. I think he is going to stand out more as he works alongside the team to get more practices under his belt.

Also if you rewatch the game he was much more explosive going up for boards than last year. Instead of getting one jump or bust he was quickly getting back up on fighting for those balls. I sure hope Sidibe is ok because the three of them could be a force on the boards.

How’d his groin look last night?
Board members now looking at the groins of players! This board has it all. Number of tuba players, style and color of uniforms, the crane, speculation on whether players have Covd19, Bernie fines wife etc.
