17. Syracuse — Suddenly the Orange are on the playoff bubble, tumbling down the rankings in the midst of a three-game losing streak. Making saves hasn't come easy. Opponents are shooting more than 30%. Defensive breakdowns are too frequent. The defensive midfielders get run by all too often. The poor clearing on Saturday resulted in five miscues in the first half and directly led to a pair of ND goals. SU has an excellent coaching staff, and I'd love to watch them work this week at figuring out a season that has been derailed.
