13. Syracuse — #HHH is three overtime losses away from being 10-1, Instead they are 7-4. Sergio Salcido and Nick Mariano each scored three goals, and Dylan Donahue added four assists to leading the Orange to a 13-7 win over North Carolina before 4,830 fans at the Carrier Dome.Ben Williams won 16 of 24 face-offs.
With the win SU is now 2-2 in the ACC, and the Orange clinches a spot in the ACC Tournament semifinals April 29 in Kennesaw, Ga.
The Orange lost to Cornell 10-9 on Tuesday in overtime. When you go 0-4 on the extra man, only have three assists and only make six saves you aren't going to win many games. SU shot 9 of 40, and Cornell shot 10 of 28 after the Orange controlled the vast majority of the draws. So the bounce-back against UNC was critical.
Binghamton, the ACC Tournament and Colgate remain in the last three weeks.
