1. Syracuse — The Orange dominated Virginia, 15-9, in the friendly confines of the Dome on Sunday. The 15-9 final score isn't indicative of the blowout this game truly was. Kevin Rice, a virtuoso behind the net, contributed seven points while midfielder Nicky Galasso shot lights out with four goals. ‘Cuse took 50 shots, including 26 by halftime, pummeling Virginia in front of more tha- 4,000 fans. The defense was mistake free in the first 30 minutes. Ben Williams won 15 of the first 18 face-offs before injuring his shoulder. The Orange were 5-7 on EMO. There’s lots to like for a team that steps into March roaring like a lion.
