I wrote something up about Rakeem, and why he deserves to go out in a big time way on Monday.

I really, really hope that if any members of Otto's Army read this board, you'll get that student section packed. And I really hope that every possible seat is full so that Rakeem can go out in front of a sellout crowd, hopefully with a win, because he deserves it.

I think some of the higher ups are looking into what they can do. In the meantime, I was wondering: what can we do? I thought of wearing a Santa hat, but that would only be good if 10,000 others would wear them.

Nice write up, JK!

Has there ever been a senior we've felt this passionately about?

Rakeem has grown as a player so much over his years at Cuse. One of the true collegiate success stories you will ever see play out.

He anchored the C on some special teams and in this year, his senior year, with all this going on, he's played like a Top 3 Big Man in CBB and looks to be playing his way into the First Round on the NBA Draft.

If it wasn't a weeknight I would seriously consider flying up for the game from Atlanta. He deserves the loudest, craziest ovation that we've ever given someone. I'm talking New York Yankees Paul O'Neil type send off.

I mentioned Gerry, I think that is the biggest one but Rakeem deserves something similar. Again - I don't think people understand what kind of guy Rakeem is OFF the court. He's just an outstanding human being.
