Just reflecting on the season...

Highs:
1. Duke win
2. Ohio State win
3. Georgetown win
4. Louisville win
5. Wake Forest win (big win at the start of March)

Lows: *
1. Baylor loss
2. UConn loss
3. Georgia Tech loss
4. Old Dominion loss
5. Clemson loss

*I had a much harder time ranking the lows, as the Oregon, Buffalo, Va Tech, Florida State, NC State, and UVA losses could be top five as well.

Highs:

1) the season ending
2) beating Duke
3) ...
4) ...
5). Buddy becoming a legit contributor

Lows:

1) UConn loss
2) still the UConn loss
3) ODU loss
4) Frank's suspension
5) the general sentiment of this entire board

High.
1. Duke win
2. Frank Howard vs. Duke in ACCT. Hope of Junior year Frank showing up at the perfect timing for NCAA
3. Pascal vs. Duke. Potential for him to change games
4. UNC loss, never gave up
5. Battle vs BC, single handily won the game
6. Amount of late games (great for a west coaster)

Low:
1. Veteran team not appearing to improve
2. Howard out for NCAA
3. UConn loss
4. Lack of chemistry - defensively and offensively. Assists were 2.9 lower/game compared to opponents. We were out assisted in every single loss. That was an average of 8 a/gm.
5. Rebounding troubles. Rebounds were 2.3 lower/game compared to opponents. We were outrebounded in ever single loss. That was an average of 8 rb/gm.

The G-town game featured both the worst and best halves of the season.
That tremendous 2nd half comeback and Tyus Battle's last second heroics to send those goofs and their big sad sack coach packing should live on in Syracuse lore.

Right behind is the Duke win making the Orange one of only 3 teams to beat Duke with Zion.
And Chukwu grabbing 18 boards!

Too many negatives to think about.
But those two positives make the negatives bearable.

Oh...and I LOOOOOOAAAAAATHE G-town!
GO ORANGE!

i'd say buddy and marek and battle get high fives. rotation and point/post play low five .

Highs:
Beating Duke.
Beating Georgetown in heartbreaking fashion for them.
Blowing out Louisville.
Taking care of business against the bad ACC teams.

Lows:
Losing to a horrific UConn team.
Losing to Buffalo at home, while their scrubby mouth breather fans who didn’t exist 5 years ago, took over the Dome.
Losing 13 games? I think it was 13. Maybe 14? I don’t know. Way too many though.
Losing in round 1 of the dance.
Losing to Old Dominion at home.
Losing by double digits so many times.

I was going to put jb's accident in there, but wanted to keep bball seperate from the tragedy.

Yes I debated on that. If I were to pick another that was on the court, the GA Tech game was a particularly lame effort

Highlight was the pre-season expectations. It was nice to play well against the Ville. Winning against a crippled Duke is not a highlight.
Low points- Frank not recovering. Frank screwing up at the end. Carey's disappointment. OOC losses. Losses vs NC, Duke and Virginia while leading all 3 at the half. Marek playing passive. Buddy scoring just 2 points in the biggest game, a 9 point loss to Baylor. Sibide not recovering. Battle not having an all American season. Uninspiring season.

Strange season overall. Great were the road wins especially at Cameron. Fun to see father son dynamics between Buddy and JB.

Expectations were high following last year's sweet 16 and Battle's return and it didn't pan out as great as team and fans alike imagined. The media saturated daily headlines about Duke even more than usual. Beyond being an SU fan I really love college bball in general. While Duke and Zion was a worthy story, the megahype was obnoxious. Then the I-690 tragedy added sad perspective that life is s gift and that college bball while exciting is just a sport and pass time.
