I thought it would be interesting to track the results of the teams sitting between SU and getting ranked. Looks difficult to accomplish this week

We won last fall at the Dome so the kids know they can play with Clemson. Clemson has the motivation, home field and talent/depth, it will be tough.

Need to hang a number on UCON to get some attention. Just do it.

I should have expanded it to include #13 VaTech losing, but I didn’t think there was any chance they’d lose to ODU.

I could see them dropping out of the top 25

Don’t think we’ll crack the top 25 but looking like a few teams ranked 15-25 are going to fall out.

Beat Clemson and we’ll be 14 I’d guess. ;)

I could see us in that 11-15 range for sure if we beat Clemson. The ACC imploding around us will not help but those are 1st world problems when you start wondering about the power of the conference

I think Texas may jump us after winning against two Top 25 teams in back to back weeks

With a loss?

We have a win on the road against a decent group of 5 team and a win at home against a talented if not coherent FSU team.

Oh... plus we haven’t lost

Those 4 facts should count, and I would argue that no team above us should fail to check of each of those 3 boxes.

Box 1. Decent road win. (WMU)

Box 2. Bowl team win (FSU)

Box 3. No losses

There’s plenty of teams above us with 1 loss. Beating USC and TCU in consecutive weeks, plus the fact that they’re Texas will influence the voters

about 7-9 top 25 teams will lose and we will settle in around 27-30 after this week. But really the big deal is the pitt game, we need that win no matter what happens next week.

We should be able to take Boston College's spot and be ranked this week. Too many top 25 teams lost this week.
