The methodology for revenue is supposed to be the difference between the average revenue between 2012-2015 and actual revenue for 2016. I don't think the real revenue dollars are available for SU but I think it is safe to assume any major change in revenue would be driven by conference revenue. So let's look at those numbers: Syracuse wasn't even in the ACC until July of 2013, so the average revenue for Syracuse should include two years in the Big East. Actual conference revenue numbers for Syracuse: 2011-12: ? (BE) 2012-13: 11.9 (BE) 2013-14: 19.2 (ACC) 2014-15: 24.0 (ACC) 2015-16: 22.8 (ACC) Couldn't find SU's cut for 11-12 so let's assume it was the same as 12-13. That makes the average conference revenue (23.8+43.2)/4or 67.0/4 or 16.75. That is an increase of over 36%. If you assume 60 million in static additional revenue over the 5 year period, the conference revenue increase still gives a 7.88% increase. As for UConn, we know their basketball and football attendance decreased every season. We know the old Big East numbers when it was still a BCS league were bigger than they are now in the AAC. The exit fees are not sufficient to cover all the dramatic revenue decreases UConn suffered. No way in hell their revenue doubled using this methodology. They decreased. It is just a question of how much they decreased.
