Like ImperialO, its been about 5-6 years as a regular poster for me as well.
The biggest change I've noticed about my own posting habits are, that I'm much more impatient then I used to be. :noidea:
I used to read every post in any thread that looked interesting. Now I find myself "skimming" through a thread unless I see something short, sweet, and concise. There's also a redundancy to certain topics that I just ignore.
At times the overall tenor of the board turns me off as well; lotsa bitching just to be bitching...but that comes with the territory.
With more experience comes greater perspective.
Because of that, its not too difficult to identify the younger posters from the wily vets that post.
Their experience is valuable & much-needed...it keeps things in proper perspective.
 
***Note: Many of us were refugees from the old Syracuse. com cesspool, where the inmates ran the asylum. I eventually discovered this board which stood out for its intelligence and insight. At times it feels like we devolve to that old Syracuse. com model, but we need the vets to pull everyone back to sanity.
