[QUOTE="JeremyCuse, post: 563807, member: 43"] This type of post is what seperates this board from R ivals, Scout, syracuse.com etc. The wealth of Syracuse/sports knowledge from posters on this board cannot be beat anywhere in the country. There have also been numerous acts of generosity on this board from the JarHeadJim tailgate surprise, to raffles to raise money, to CTO helping out strugging SU families with her tickets, to hundreds buying tickets for fball and donating them to the boys and girls club. Texan Mark has singlehandly doubled or tripled SU road attendance with his actions and tailgates and his work with SU to set up tickets for the NYC games doesnt get nearly the admiration/credit it should. As someone who has been a member for 13+ years, many of them as a lurker (I am sure some wish I stayed a lurker) of this board and its previous incarnations I have seen some changes and do wish some of the elder statesmen would come back, but even with some of the newer posters and less patience in todays age this board is still light years ahead of anything else. I cant tell you how many times I have seen something on syracuse.com or espn and when I log on here there is allready a thread 3 pages deep breaking down the situation and providing more information then a dictionary. I have had the pleasure of meeting numerous board personas in person and I am greatful to have formed friendships at least in my mind with many of them. There is no better therapy after a bad loss then coming to this board where there are hundreds if not thousands of other fans who know and feel what you are. As much as I love my friends and fiance they simply dont understand what it means to a diehard SU fan to lose unexpectedly in the tourney or lose that key fball recruit at the last second. SO please for those who have been away or are considering staying away from the board, please re-consider this board needs everyone to continue to be the best outlet of SU sports in the country.
