Two players joined Pitt’s 2016 recruiting class on Sunday when a safety and an offensive lineman pledged to the Panthers.

The first commitment of the day came from offensive tackle Zack Williams. According to , the Citra, Florida, native made his decision while on an official visit to Pittsburgh this weekend.

A 6-5, 275-pound prospect, Williams is rated the No. 66 tackle in his class on the 247Sports Composite. He is the second O-lineman to commit to Pitt this cycle, joining local offensive tackle Brandon Ford.

Later in the day, safety Phil Campbell gave his verbal to Pat Narduzzi’s staff. Like Williams, Campbell also was in town for an official visit over the weekend.

Previously a Rutgers commit, Campbell is a consensus 3-star recruit. Per MaxPreps, the 6-1, 195-pound standout logged 110 tackles and three interceptions as a senior for South Brunswick High School in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey.

With the two new pledges, Pitt has 15 players committed to its 2016 class.
