MaxPreps #1 running back for Virginia 5A, #7 overall in VA. There is up to 6A in VA.
Got talking HS football and recruits after the state championships, he was brought up to me since I'm all SU. They shared this background and I looked him up: Warrick's grandfather is an SU alum, his dad played D1 football in the Ivy League, and the family has upstate NY roots. He had a breakout senior season, but was also the leading team rusher by a good margin as a junior, with multiple senior RBs sharing team carries.
2024 Stats:
1,282 Yds Rushing, 128 Yds/G, 7.2 Yds per Carry;
1,424 Total All Purp Yds, 142 Yds/G 12.9 Yds per catch;
19 TD, Which by my numbers is 58% of team scoring for the season.

I watched the film, he's a bit shorter than some backs but he looks very solid for that height. Speedy, elusive, maintains leg churn, and makes extended gains after contact. He seemed to get positive yardage even on plays where there were missed blocks. Catches well out of the backfield with quick acceleration after catch. Might have the hands to be considered an APB and motion out to slot receiver, but that would need more eval.
Looking at current commits. Current SU RB Signee Malachi Coleman is a speedster that also plays in VA at Fleming. These two could compliment each other well, and push each other. Might be a good late add to look at, and show interest in.
