Jawhar has been hyped pretty good around here, admittedly, by myself included. I think that’s the biggest reason for the hand-wringing was everyone’s initial expectations based on a h.s. highlight film.

But, there’s no way to gauge the value of some of these players to the team without seeing them on a more consistent basis. I just haven’t seen enough of a sample size to make a determination on how impactful this is.

I’ll say this, with the emergence of Tucker, his future was shaping up as a 3rd down RB, Slot, or backup/injury replacement anyway. I just don’t see him as an every down guy.

Sure, you hate to lose the traits that he had. Especially when he’s coming into the point of his career that’s supposed to be the most productive.

But the production, well, that’s surely replaceable.

I’m not sure how this plays out, but ultimately guys are going to have to stay at their schools who enter the transfer portal. There’s a finite # of roster spots in football and more players than scholarships.
