Seems like it, at least according to him. Weird he would tweet his commitment after Midnight? With his offers, I’m glad he wants to come here but we’re a long way off. Has to be our earliest recruit in a while?

Happy with the sentiment but I remain cautiously optimistic. Seems strange.

On a side note, Rutger Sears wrote this article which I found to be kinda fun. I haven’t heard that name since I was a kid. Blast from the past.

He did tweet that he was committing today. Does seem odd as the kid has never visited SU, or any of the other schools who offered him looking at his twitter. Kids are very limited to contact as Sophomores. Sounds like a very premature commitment.

For most sports, coaches can begin reaching out to athletes starting June 15 after sophomore year or September 1 of their junior year of high school.


  • Camps and clinics: Recruits and college coaches are not allowed to have any recruiting conversations during camps prior to June 15 after sophomore year of high school.
  • Unofficial visits: College athletic departments—this includes college coaches—are not allowed to be involved in a recruit’s unofficial visits before August 1 of a prospect’s junior year.

We can't let this happen! He is making a morally wrong decision and he will embarrass the AD, his wife, his wife's brother, Dino, the school chaplain, the school, the ACC, some of the kids at Cicero as well and a guy named Bob out in Canastota! We have all played cards before! Never show your hand! When this kid commits we should immediately decline his acceptance and then right before signing day flip him back to us! But to be clear if we do flip him he will not be morally wrong or unjust, unless immediately upon flipping and signing he notifies Syracuse he is in the portal.
 
Hoping we get a nice article soon from one of our journalist on this kid maybe he has ties to Syracuse per family or he is very interested in our academics maybe Newhouse ?

My brother Bob lived in Canastota...did you know him?
 
I mean, gift horse in the mouth? On Christmas Day no less. Wonder how old this kid is, maybe reclassify to 2024?
 
While it's great to have a new commit and all, I think I'll wait a year or so before I get too invested in this kid. He may turn out to be great and a future Cuse AA, but there's still plenty of time for all that.
 
Sweet baby Jesus, the lord giveth and the lord taketh away…not always in that order. Let the roller coaster ride begin.
 
This is going to be a long two years. Happy we got him at the moment though
 
We’ll see if the staff tweets anything to confirm. Looks like he is followed on Twitter by some recruiting support staff but none of the coaching staff yet.
