In the DMV, HS recruiting for top area players to private schools and even public schools is a big thing, and this has also changed significantly if you’re not a 4/5* player. This impacts things all the way down to fourth grade (sad to say) because parents are still operating under “Then” vice “Now”. Kids playing down, re-classifying, transferring schools, trying to position themselves for college recruitment has all changed. Kids that were easily low DI, DII and DIII aren’t even getting sniffs.
