Yes we had those two issues against ND and Gtown. But thats not what bothered me the most.
What bothered me the most was their ability to move the ball with ease.

They both passed the ball extrememly well and utilized the whole floor which was alarming. It brings back some memories of late in the 2010 season when we loss to gtown and Louisville late in the year. They both used the whole floor against us.

It brings back some memories of those who argued playing a little man to man defense. This team has got to learn to take away spots on the floor. Otherwise its not a zone its just matchup man to man defense, which benefits more from trying to take the ball taking charges, pushing people away from places on the court(cheating on D) and denying passes to cutters.

We have got to cheat and not let them get to points on the floor. Maybe our guards have to compact inside more and not give them the ball at the top of the three point line. Maybe we have got to trap more. Maybe we need to get one hand out more and defend to push them one direction off the drive more. Maybe we need to trap more. We need to force them to throw longer passes by not giving them good looks with the short triangles.

Point is they moved the ball extremely well didn't turn it over overly much when running their offense, and just looked like relaxed moving the ball against the zone.
Looking tough wins games in college ball. Even more so in College basketball then the NBA.

This team lost some of its tough look those two games. We have got to learn to counter that or that might be the game people will play against us in march.
We really had to put alot of our toughness mental and physical energy into the defense end. The more this team has to put into the offensive end the better.

Half of me feels if it aint broke don't fix it. I don't even mind being outrebounded alittle in march. But, I just doesn't want to see us lose in march at the hands of a team that moves the ball that well and utilizes all the floor with ease. Win it all or lose I don't want it to be with average defense

Yep the zone is best when we're tipping balls and trapping them in the corners. That doesn't seem to be the case as of late.
