This played a big part. There were a lot of long rebounds, and even on some of the shorter shots the misses caromed pretty wildly off the backboard and/or rim. They basically turned into loose balls in a lot of situations. Of course, we still shouldn't have been beaten to so many loose balls, but there were a lot of funky rebounds.

Yes. And you really also have to give Canisius credit, their guys were just more active and quicker to the ball in a lot of instances, and just plain outworked us. I was especially disappointed in some of the boards DC2 missed out on since that's supposed to be his specialty.

Funny bounces or not, Canisius seemed to always be in better position to rebound than we were. They did a good job of boxing out...old time basketball...

Canisius did a terrific job against us. I kept saying to my self how amazing the low talent team kept us in check. At one point, we were 15 up and we had just made a hugely athletic layup, and it occurred to me that this low talent Canisius team was crushing us in effort and in shooting just to be close at the half.

How can JB get his team fired up for a 30 point victory? He sends out Grant and Cooney to keep the excitement.

Even Southerland and Keita are bored with their efforts.

So our second team runs it out to a big margin because we needed to win this game, just like every other game. JB will get them excited and ready to play while we watch the demise of the Big East.

Not saying unhappy with the win. This team should have won by that margin easily. Grant you, bad bounces and a lack of hustle for them balls played a big part. Can't be lazy like that when the big teams start.

Converting stats to defensive rebounding opportunities which are higher then offensive rebounding opportunities.

We missed 5 more shots and clanked about 3 more shots on the second ft giving Canisius a opportunity for 8 more defensive boards then us.

And they put up 11 more missed three pointers then us. Our misses came from inside the arc which are easier to box out and be in position for. That makes a difference.

Regurdless we won by 24 and shot 54.8% they shot 35.1% while making 14 more shots then them.
That was the difference.
