Patrick Worstell from San Ramon, CA, who has been a recruit forever, has apparently chosen Cal for football and will not attend SU next year...

Total bummer, kid is a great lax player...

This is good. We don't need anymore kids from non-tradiational areas with low lacrosse IQs and raw skills. Need more kids who gets sticks when they’re born and not baseball gloves.

True, however, Worstell's dad was an All-American at Maryland and one of their greatest ever players. Kid played lax his whole life, albeit against mediocre competition on the HS level. He's athletic enough to play D-1 football at Cal, and I think he could have been a nice player for us. He was a UA All-American as well. Not just some random athlete we were bringing in.
