look at our 2017 class and who is playing major time

Devito at the top
Kingsley

at little of stritz/coley/johnson

but the bottom of the class
elmore/melifonwu/hackett/berry/richards/robinson/Szmyt all barely caused a ripple on the rankings

but allen/fagan/williams/johnson/trotter very little

2018 class
Williams at the top

howard some key minutes
harris/vettorelli/cisco/Williams a ton

Hopefully Jordan

but white/Hendriz/jonas/johnson/allison/amie nothing really

2019
Jones/bergeron at the top

Benson from the bottom after thoughts

but red/Tidsdale/Tuazama/Jackson/nunn/Phogba all have sparked solid thoughts with the new 4 game rule helping that

but jones/nunn/cantin/munoz/linton/dawson/ nothing yet but its early

the top of our classes is not really coming thru we need more of the top 10 guys to play big parts. then when we see the bright spots from the bottom we have depth. you need 6-7 of your top 10 to be solid and we havent gotten that yet, but I think the 2019 class does get there.

It's a tough gig but I'm happy if Babers/staff can fill the holes with the qualityist of qualities when they need those players to fill starting roles.
IMO...they have struggled to fill the LB position with freshmen/sophs while Jones has helped...they need more from that position. Is it possible the D scheme did that to a point? Maybe.

It is funny that way. I will say some of it depends on who is in front of you and where opportunities arise. It’s sometimes your talent or progress - and sometimes it’s who isn’t progressing in front of you.

I will say I’m happy to see so many Canadians really coming on. Good pipeline there.

Our 2018 class was small and we’ve had a bunch of transfers and DQs from it already.
Lack of much from that class is concerning.

the top 10 of almost every class in the rankings has done nothing.. thats the pt..

I didn't realize that, interesting. When that happens you definitely need the strong bookmarks in the 2017 and 2019 classes to stabilize things.

these kids are basically all 3 star recruits, so I'm not really giving a crap who the "top 10" are in each class (what's the difference between # 8 and # 13, like .003 on some made up scale?) - what this shows is that the classes might not be really strong with can't miss type superstars, but they're really deep with quality P5 caliber players throughout. Not a lot of reaches with little chance of ever seeing the field as with past regimes.

2018 has been hurt by injuries to kids that look/looked really promising - but there are multiple key contributors there after what for many of them is just their RS freshman season - not bad for an off year. The transfers definitely hurt and hopefully helped the staff learn where not to focus some of their recruiting resources.

2019 has the potential to be a very good class when all is said and done. lamenting that some kids who were redshirted have done nothing yet is silly
