BC and Pitt have the same ACC advantage that we do versus UConn & Rutgers.   Sure, we should be on the upswing, but the impact on recruiting will be incremental and the coaches still need to build the positive buzz about our program (negatives about rivals won't close many deals).       
We have a solid start to recruiting this year -- but candidly, we still need a strong close in November - January.  
As to playing true freshmen, haven't seen anyone suggest why "seize the moment" means that Marrone should do something different (in going after wins, or deciding which frosh should play, focus on recruiting better prospects) than he would always do.  Except for that suggestion about using negatives about rivals  -- fine, but kids already know about the ACC, PSU and Pitt's slow start.
