I've always been a big believer in Red, but so far, he has exceeded my expectations on the recruiting trail.  I think it's crazy to believe he can march through Maui unscathed, but if he can show the players that they belong, this will be a huge building block.

We know anything can happen during the season, and historically around here, it's been injuries and suspensions that have derailed seasons, but maybe it really is a new era for Syracuse basketball.

Let's hope the fanbase really supports Red and the program with fannies in the seats.  It's really the thing I would like to see the most, although the 2nd most follows closely behind and that is how good can Judah Mintz be in his 2nd season.

Most of us are not Dana O'Neil fans, but she wrote a nice article, that continues to justify paying a few bucks every month for the Atlantic.
