Syracuse's Adrian Autry has been named one of 16 finalists for the 2023-24 Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year Award.

Autry guided the Orange to the program's first 20-win, regular season since 2013-14. Syracuse's 11 ACC wins represented the second-best total since the Orange joined the conference in 2013-14. Autry's squad finished the campaign with a 20-12 record.

There were 31 rookie head coaches in Division I this season. Autry's 20-win total tied for the fifth-best mark out of the 31.

The Joe B. Hall Award is presented annually to the top rookie, first-year head coach in Division I college basketball

He has a good chance to win this award. I just hope he doesn’t follow the footsteps of someone else who won a couple if coach of the year awards in his first two years
