3 fg's we need to get at least one of those in as a td.

also lost is that the first drive we were in FG range and dungey took a sack that he needed to throw away.

thats 7-10 pts and we would have been looking at 40 two weeks in a row.

it sure helps to get scores from the D like the big boys do..

Agree we need to improve. But I feel like I do need to point out that the refs screwed us out of one TD in the red zone. Dungey absolutely scored on that 12 yard run, but the idiot refs marked him out at the 1 for some inexplicable reason.

We did get one TD, the ref just forgot to put his arms in the air when the football in Dungey's hand crossed the plane.

But I agree, need to be more efficient. I think Dungey is smart enough that as the game continues to get slower he'll be better at throwing the ball away when he's outside the tackles and not holding it for something that likely won't develop.

Having said that, one thing he has that we may not have seen since McNabb (and no one will ever be better than McNabb), he has a pocket presence regarding the pressure. Looks like he knows where to go instinctively to keep the play alive. That stuff can't be taught.

Captain Obvious is obvious.

Red Zone is ALWAYS a key, period.

We had a Frosh QB making his first start. Who got jobbed outta a rushing TD, btw.
There's that as at least one in as a TD.

At least we scored on all of our Red Zone tries. Last year's team would probably have blown one or more of them.
Progress!

You have to give a little credit to Wake's D too - they made it very difficult on us down close.

That and his ability to read coverage and know where to go with the ball. As much as Wolford got better after a true frosh year - I expect more from Dungey. That will translate in the red zone.

Ref at the pylon got bumped out of position. He had to rely on the ref up the line. He had no idea.

Agree. Most impressive thing I saw all day was on the last scoring drive, I believe, when he just pivoted out of the way of the blindside rusher at the last moment like he had eyes in the back of his head.

Parris fell down on that play. I think Dungey was going there and didn't have time to regroup. I don't fault him too much for that play.

when the D hands you the ball back inside the twenty sure i'd rather see 7 than 3. make them pay dearly for those mistakes.
