Suffered a lower body injury against Stony Brook. He's day-to-day and could play on Saturday.

This from Matt Park's Twitter feed.

I assume that if he can't practice today, he doesn't play Saturday.

Don't take this the wrong way but that is fantastic news. I was thinking the worst (season ending injury, kicked off team, academic ineligibility, etc). Day to day is the best we could have hoped for given the news of him not being at practice the last 2 days.

I agree. Hopefully the staff is being very cautious and he is fine. UM does not have a great set of WRs and we have an experienced and talented player (Lyn) who can fill in, but whenever you lose your best cover guy, it is a huge loss. Especially when you like to put your corners on an island from time to time, like Shafer is wont to do.

Time for Lyn to step it up. I'm assuming Desir is his back up.

I agree. If he is questionable, then I hope the coaches err on the side of caution and hold him out. It sucks to lose your best corner but I don't want him reinjuring himself and possibly be lost for the rest of the season. With the bye week coming up he should hopefully be close to 100% for Pitt & the Big East sched.

Time for him to step up? He plays a ton already and is one of our best corners (if not our best).

Yes, step it up as in start and likely play the whole game which he has not been doing behind Reddish. I also don't agree that he is our best corner.

Yep, as an SU fan, I feel like I have PTSD. If a guy is out for a game and we don't know why, at this point I pretty much assume he's gone forever. Nice to hear that a guy that could come back from a minor injury for a change.

The have been rotating all 3 CBs every game. We basically have three starters. I like Reddish but people here act like he is Revis when he really hasn't proven a damn thing yet. If Reddish was as good as his internet folklore he wouldn't be splitting time 3 ways.

Yes one of the best, certainly not THE best.
