Autry: “This rivalry is alive. It means something to both fanbases.”
Autry: “This is a really good road win. We played some of our best defense in the second half.”
Autry: “We wanted to make it tough. We wanted to make every shot tough. There were certain situations where we wanted to crowd [Jayden] Epps.”
Autry: “Our Syracuse people know. Quadir can make things happen.”
Autry: “I think [JJ Starling] was big. When Judah [Mintz] was out, he made some big plays. Even when Mintz was in, too. When those two guards play like that, we have a chance to win.”
Autry: “Naheem’s foot got a little irritated at the end of the half, so he felt like he couldn’t give us the energy he wanted.”
Autry: “We made every shot tough [for Georgetown]. Even when we didn’t get the rebound, we didn’t give them easy looks. I thought our defense was really good the last 10-12 minutes of that game.”
Autry: “Quadir defended, rebounded, and made the right plays. That put-back was big time. His versatility is so big for us. Plus, just two turnovers today…that’s progress.”
Autry: “I talked to my team about this rivalry. We have some local guys, so I knew they were going to be ready to play.”
Autry: “It’s good to have guards that can score. They do it in a variety of ways. They can attack, and it’s always good to have guys that can make plays.”
Autry: “Maliq Brown, when we go small, he’s so active. We want to play fast and increase tempo. That’s what our team is. We’re good in the open court.”
