[QUOTE="Nicknack, post: 5687583, member: 1003"] To be clear, this is not a bash on Red thread - just something I found interesting in the press conference. I haven't watched a presser in a long time but was really wondering what I'd see tonight so I watched. First, Red has definitely gotten feedback and improved in his communication and leaving out the "you know" filler words. May not seem like a big deal, but I give him kudos for that. As for the content, it was kind of tough to watch really. In the first few minutes, I was reminded how much Red cares and knows what high level basketball looks like. It looks like it absolutely pains him to coach this team. After a few minutes, you realize that he's just letting it all out. He makes zero bones about how it's pretty much all on the players. That's where he began losing me. He said over and over that the coaches gave the players the info but they failed to execute and be tough. Well, that might be the players but it also might and probably is the person delivering the message. I came away very conflicted after watching the presser... really feeling for a person who I deeply respect as a great former Cuse player, really feeling for another human going through clearly a very difficult time, and finding it very difficult to listen to someone who is constantly deflecting and blaming others.
