A caller to the Axeman mentioned that Statsheet.com has statitistics on referees so I looked it up:
http://statsheet.com/mcb/referees/stats/most_fouls

The guys we got in the Ohio State game were Tom O'Neil, who called the 7th most fouls of the 200 referees listed, (and was second in technicals), John Higgins #13 and Mike Nance, #34.

A caller to Bud and the Manchild said he's re-watched the game and determined that 22 of the 29 fouls called against us were called by Higgins.

I watched the key sequence in the 1st half again before I deleted the game from my DVR. Two thoughts

There's no WAY IN HELL that the Ohio State player wasn't in the semi circle on the Triche charge. His HEAD was under the net.

JB getting a T being out of the coaches box is hilarious because I was commentating the night before how Crean is LITERALLY ON THE FLOOR half of the game and never gets even a warning. Yet JB who sticks to his seat for the most part gets a T for being out of the box...yeah, .

That point doesn't matter...b/c it was clear as day that the defender slid under Triche while he was in the air, meaning its not a charge. I'd say college refs get that call correct 20% of the time. It's embarrassing.

You're agreeing with me.
I'm saying not only did he slide under...but his head was under the net. Meaning it can't be a charge.

Kind of OT, but is a coach allowed to come in contact with one of his own players while the ball is in play? Watching UK @ Vandy, Cal stepped on the court and pushed Terrence Jones in the back to get him to run on the baseline. I know Vandy is most likely a complete outlier with any sideline rules, but it seemed odd that Cal got away with that while the teams were in the half court, just a few feet in front of him.

The worst coach at this stuff is Pitino. In the BET finals against Cincy, the dude was so far on the court that it looked to me like he was part of his team's 2-3 zone. Seriously, it looked like 6-on-5 on some of Cincy's possessions. It was pretty hilarious, seeing this maniac dressed as a coach running around on the court and directing/positioning his players. Watch for him on the court when they play Kentucky.

Pitino is one of the worst offenders. He's out of the the entire game. Hell, he's over the line on the court a lot of time while there is live action. It's never addressed by the officials. Can't trust any refs named Higgins (any relation to Tim?).

The all time king of the court was Lou Carnesecca who would be 10 feet out on the floor during play. I wanted an SU guy to come in behind him and knock him on his ass. What would they have called?

Not quite under the net. Still a block but definitely not as bad as you make it seem.
