Fumble in 1st qtr (recovered by SU on Cincy 9) - BLOWN
Goalline touchback (not really even debatable) - BLOWN
Lyn "targeting" PF penalty, that was shoulder to shoulder - WHAT?
4 1st half TO's for SU - WHAT?
no review of sideline catch that UC reciever had no foot down in 3rd qtr - FAIL
no holding calls against Cincy on their last scoring drive - BLOWN
the announcers appalled at the officiating - WOW
all-time blood pressure high - FAIL

Such a mess that the refs could help to determine an outcome of an important game and be so unbelievably one-sided. What is the point of instant replay when they clearly are just laughing it off? It actually pained them to throw a flag against Cincy.

I truly hope SU files some sort of complaint to the NCAA. It is NOT RIGHT to the players. Just because we are leaving the BE for the ACC, does not mean that the 18-22 year old kids be penalized for that. The game should be called in a completely unbiased manner. Unacceptable.

SHAME ON YOU BE Refs!

How is the goalline touchback not debatable? do you know the rule?

Did you watch the play? The loose ball landed on the goal line. That is a touchback.

This is American football, correct?

The determining factor is where the ball goes out of not, not whether it touches the goalline.

From the rulebook:

SECTION 6. Touchback
When Declared
ARTICLE 1. It is a touchback when:
a. The ball becomes dead out of bounds behind a goal line, except from an
incomplete forward pass, or becomes dead in the possession of a player on,
above or behind his own goal line and the attacking team is responsible for
the ball being there (Rules 7-2-4-a and b) (A.R. 7-2-4-I, A.R. 8-6-1-I and II,
and A.R. 10-2-2-XVI).
