I think the percentage of kids that stay their whole career , including a RS season, is getting lower and lower each season. Find a way to capitalize on what you can as a freshman or another HC is going to reap the rewards of a RS down the road. That would be my philosophy and another reason why i wouldn’t 100% commit to developing HS recruits. There should be a steady mix of player development and 1-2 year portal plugs. Look at the schools who are having success in this new era out of no where. Indiana, Texas Tech, SMU, Nebraska. Look at some of the programs that relied on developing HS commits that are now struggling.
