We all knew (or should have known) that some players, finishing their degrees this academic year, would be asked to leave to make way for better players. This is a fact of life in an improving program. We also knew that some players will look at their situation and realize that they will see no playing time until maybe late in their college careers if at all, and will decide on their own to transfer. Still others will be asked to leave for reasons we don't know and don't need to know. Relax, this staff knows what it is doing to upgrade the roster and continue building the program.

I would be surprised about Howard. He found the field pretty quickly and I would imagine he still would see the field next year. Babers offense split the rock between 3 backs last year. He would be one of the 3 in 2019. Pierre on the other hand did not break into that grouping and could be feeling recruited over. Based on comments by certain posters on the recruiting board we could see big dividends from our 2020 recruiting cycle given the season we just had. Reeling in a bigtime rb would not surprise.

Tha's kind of the feeling I'm getting too. It feels different than transfers in the past, who were leaving because they felt that Syracuse wasn't delivering what they thought they would.
