Report: Urban Meyer to Ohio St, Herbstreit to join his coaching staff

Ohio St also contacted Jon Gruden but Gruden said he wasn't interested in the job. Urban will officially take the job once the NCAA passes its final verdict on their situation. Urban is assembling a coaching staff. Herbstreit, Chris Spielman, LSU o-line coach Greg Studwara, and NC State linebackers coach John Tenuta. Urban will also keep current OSU head coach Luke Fickell and current WR coach Stan Drayton.

I believe it. He's probably bored and has enough money to not care about being low on the coaching ladder. If he doesn't like it he'll just get another TV gig.

If the rumors are true about Herbsteit and Erin Andrews and if he is really on the outs with his wife as reports say, I totally buy this. He probably isn't allowed to date co-workers in his contract or some morals clause like that. If he wants to be with her "out in the open" the only way is for him to leave ESPN.
