JB was famous/infamous for pulling players quickly after taking a few bad shots or playing poorly on defense. Red has been the exact opposite. His strategy backfired at the Players Era. A few young players (who I don't want to criticise personally) shot us completely out of the last 2 games. We simply can't win with those shooting percentages. Is it time for a return of the quick hook or should we let players just keep shooting?

It’s hard to pull players quickly with the nil investment and players bailing on a team after the season.

well...some players yes and not so much some others. a certain dichotomy of doctrine there.

I always hated JB’s automatic/punitive subs.
I do think Red needs to instill discipline some way, and some of that JB ‘reaction’ stuff might be effective. Some. Just not automatic. Problem is, I don’t have confidence in Red to make the assessments of when it would be appropriate.

Yeah, but there were times that JB over played it and it seemed to make some guys play tight, fearing the hook. There were other guys who he didn't do that to.
Some people just can’t handle the hook

Many times this was for token starters too.

Da Coleman, Rakeem, Fab. These guys started as freshman but often got pulled within 5 minutes and sometimes never came back the entire half if at all.
