This isn’t to knock Tommy at all, some of the plays are there at different times.  There aren’t always players to throw to once he’s scrambling but there are some plays to be made just before that.  I think if he was able to step forward in more of those situations he’d be better off.  I don’t know if he’s being coached to slide left/right out of the pocket every time but once he’s flushed out he doesn’t have the experience yet playing D1 to make plays.

In reply to another post, he has escaped right a lot and had time but if you look at his feet and body, he’s actually not in a great position to make most of the throws on the field.  He’s running to the right but not forward in anyway, sometimes because he can’t.  But just because he’s moving right and has some time doesn’t mean he’s still in a position to make plays.  With a couple of adjustments in his body/feet he can but the situations before he wasn’t in a position to make most throws even though he had some space.
