I believe Brady likes the footballs soft and if you read the appeal he says the feel matters more than the air. He talked about how he likes his footballs prepared. He talks about how the balls were over-inflated in October 2014 and after that told the refs he wanted them at 12.5.

I don't think the NFL can prove anything happened and if you feel cheating took place there should be way more evidence. This deflator text doesn't show anything, the NFL interviewed these people and omitted their testimony or any testimony disputing their general aware finding. If you actual look at this case without a prism and look at like a Judge this case would be dismissed. Instead the NFL has given the team the biggest penalty in NFL history and suspended their best player 25% of the season.

While the Atlanta Falcons were found to pipe in music into the crowd for an advantage and admitted the charges were correct. The penalty for the Falcons was the loss of a 5th round pick. Patriots lost a 1st and 4th round pick and the NFL can't prove squat.
