I have so much to say here I could write a book. I really no longer like football It used to be my favorite sport. I can not believe the things I am hearing from all of the players who are defending this jerk Incognito. First of all there is no way that Martin got to where he is in the NFL because he is too "soft". He played for a top and tough college team, and it was his 2nd year in the NFL. I think he put up with a lot of this in his first year, even though he did not like it. But this was his 2nd year, and it was suppose to be over for him, and they should have moved on to the new guys. But they didn't. Yes he may have some mental health issues floating around. Do you not think out of all of the players in the NFL that some do not suffer from depression, anxiety or some other mental illness like the rest of the world does ? Is there something magical about football players that make them different? So last year Martin made it through, and I am sure it was very tough for him. When people say that he laughed at some of this stuff, laughing is a way that someone who is nervous or uncomfortable often reacts. That does not mean that he liked it. It was how he coped and tried to fit in. So Incognito was like a big brother to him? Do brothers always get along? Do family members not sometimes abuse other family members? This may have made it even harder for Martin to tell someone. What so disturbs me today is some of the comments from other NFL players. He should "man up," He should have "fought" with him. I have heard it said that he was "too smart". I have heard one player describe that Incognito was more "black" than Martin because he was one of the "brothers". Uh how is a white person more black than a bi-racial person? This is so disgusting, and I have learned today that the football culture is sickening, and they are so removed from any type of reality. No wonder a gay athlete can not "come out". And yes, Incognito is being painted as the bad guy, and I am sure he is one of many bad guys. He is getting the brunt of this because he ended up in this situation. I am sure there are many others in the league just like him, and many rookies who are uncomfortable going to practice everyday. Why should anyone be afraid to go to work? Some of these guys dreamed about this for a lifetime, and woke up in a nightmare. Imagine what you would feel like if that happened to you. And that is the end of my rant. Like it or not.
