Not defending Barnes especially since he has like 4 McD dudes on his team, but, Butler put on a defensive clinic. Butler has a bunch of physical defenders and I never saw a team defend the paint and the Texas high-low offense better than today. Transition D was huge for them also.

Texas though is poorly constructed. They don't really have a 2G or a SF. Holmes is more of a PF trying to play SF. He's good but then you have ALL those big bodies who clog up space in Turner, Ridley, and Lammert.

It's really been down hill since TJ Ford left. He couldn't get to the second weekend with Kevin Durant.

say what you will about barnes coaching but the man can certainly recruit. and that to a lesser extent is all we really know about hopkins. he recruits well.
