RIP Mills Lane

did he every age?

I did know who he was when he was in the boxing hall of fame parade in 2013. Thats a pretty nice event for those who appreciate boxing off the MMA stuff..

Lets Go Start GIF

RIP to a real one…

He was a football linebacker, a hockey goaltender, a marine drill instructor, a boxer, (two-time NCAA welterweight champ), a deputy sheriff, a prosecutor, a judge and boxing referee. If he told you to do something, you did it.

From the IMDB: "As a boxer, Lane's nose was broken numerous times. Today, he can push his nose all the way into his face without pain, since all the cartilage has been surgically removed from it; the nose always springs back to its normal position. Several fans still beg him to do this trick for them."

So glad we got a thread for him.

Him as referee made the fight ‘bigger’.

Let’s get it on!!

RIP Mills

The best story about Mills Lane, and this article verifies it, is that his home address and phone number was always listed in the phone book. Anyone could call him at anytime.
