So sad to hear. Knew he had been battling health issues for quite some time. One of the best radio voices ever to come through here and a real nice guy. RIP Steve.

Played softball with Steve in the late 80s or early 90s. He could hit the ball a mile...the Greg Luzinski of the Town of Clay B league.

Great guy! Fun guy. Great radio voice.

Doug and Steve were a dream combo for me. Sad news. Too young.

Steve was always interesting not listen to, even if he went off the rails from time to time, never more so than his libelous diatribe after the Tennessee game, where he accused Phil Fullmer of bribing the referees. He also tended to lecture the fans. But he was a good guy and bled orange.
