Some felt he was too over the top but I always liked his enthusiasm and personality. His voice more than any other in recent years, seemed to be the "voice of ESPN" to me. And from the tribute on the network today, he seems like quite a guy. The tearful tributes reminded me of those for Arthur Ashe, Jim Valvano and Tom Mees.

I admire the way he fought. However, for me, I did not watch SC when he was on. Too much schtick for me.

I'm 26 and every single person in my generation is hurting today. So many social media postings, comments, discussion.

HE was Sports Center for us. Made it must watch TV. He will be missed. This one hurts.
