Am very saddened to say that former Orangeman Terry O'Leary, who also played HS football at Baldwinsville HS., passed away this morning after a courageous battle against cancer. Terry was a three year letterman who started at safety on Frank Maloney's 76 - 78 teams and was the main reason I switched my verbal commitment in '77 from VT to SYR during my recruiting visit weekend. Terry was tough as nails on the gridiron and enjoyed a rewarding career in the beer business with Anheuser-Busch and then Northern Eagle Beverage in NJ. He was a great person in all aspects of life and will be thoroughly missed by his wife Kirsten, SU grad '82, their four children and everyone whom he touched. RIP former Orangeman TO!
