#9 in 247 as well. Granted we have the most commits out of all the schools so far. But it is still a huge accomplishment to be up there in any capacity.Rivals 2025 class ranking

And just how do these numbers shift if Hilson flips from Florida State to Cuse?I go by average recruit ranking. As of right now 2:20 pm on April 22nd Fl ACC Rankings per 247 Sports:

Yeah, I dont agree with just using an average percentage to rank a class. By that logic, Syracuse should have stopped recruiting after we landed Sharlandiin. Then we’d have a much better class. And just how do these numbers shift if Hilson flips from Florida State to Cuse?
Agreed this is foolish it’s mainly based on the number of recruits we have. It seems evident Fran has gotten really good players despite what a website might sayIt's April. The rankings mean NOTHING. Maybe on early signing day we can see how we stack up but it still means NOTHING.
I'm happy about all the kids we're landing, and their measurables/offer lists.I look at this way, while I love getting a 4 star kid, because it's instant credibility. The fact that Fran is taking commitments from these kids in March and April is huge. We are not desperate. It means they fit in to Fran's vision for the program. And, Fran's vision for the program is championships. So, I am happy about every single one of these players no matter what they are ranked and where we are in the recruiting rankings.
It the grand scheme of a final recruiting ranking, yes. It's April. The rankings mean NOTHING. Maybe on early signing day we can see how we stack up but it still means NOTHING.
And a number of these recruits only have us a couple other schools now. But the big schools know that Fran is a great evaluater of talent and will start looking and offering.I'm happy about all the kids we're landing, and their measurables/offer lists.
These sites wouldn't be in business if they weren't giving out their arbitrary rankings. I'm sure the Cuse site is getting more traffic and subscriptions now, so maybe that's why we aren't seeing our new recruits getting ranked poorly.
We know most of our classes in the last 20 years were not good, and we know that last year's, and the next two, will be much better. We don't need the sites to tell us that. All you need is an offer list.It the grand scheme of a final recruiting ranking, yes.
In the context of comparing to our own recruiting cycles over the past 20 years, it means A LOT.

There is Marketing value to it. And that is a real thing. We know most of our classes in the last 20 years were not good, and we know that last year's, and the next two, will be much better. We don't need the sites to tell us that. All you need is an offer list.
Marketing value in which way? More marketing value than winning games? More marketing value than beating your peer programs head to head? If you're talking about players looking at it, I'm sure they're more interested in if they know the people that are going to be attending, or what their offer lists look like. There is Marketing value to it. And that is a real thing.
