Ianello was just named as the associate head coach/wide receivers coach for UB. After he was fired from Akron after only two years, he spent last year at Kansas. While he was at Notre Dame he became pretty well known as a recruiter although recruiting for the Fighting Hypocrites is as we know much different than recruiting for most other programs...Sometimes it is interesting to ponder whom SU might have hired but didn't.

Given the choppy situation with the staff being one bad year away from pushed out the door, and the candidates out there willing to potentially take a one year gig, I would not have minded Ianello as a hire for our current opening given his program experience and recruiting ties. Would have been a nice get.
