Has to stop thinking he's a guard...or improve his handle. Was rather quiet today. Anyone think he fares better tomorrow?

Tough day on offense. Did not look smooth on O, at least today, forcing it somewhat. Now, on defense, that's a different story for sure. Consistency/aggression on defense is a given, needs to work on it on offense. It'll come.

Does our current TROB remind anyone of our last TROB... Also a PF from NJ, also a great rebounder, also someone who completely flattered to deceive on offense? With every bricked jumper and every 2 foot layup slammed off a backboard I get flashbacks of the other TROB.

To give TROB 1.0 credit he was a much more explosive player who brought monster dunks and occasional 3s. If we had that TROB on this team we'd be in business.

Roberts (Old TRob) would bang and was a good defensive player. He would at least try to throw down some monster dunks (sometimes very successfully) on top of somebody as opposed to a weak layup attempt. I don't think current TRob likes contact. He's a more fluid athlete than old TROB but does not bring that same motor or aggression.

Yep. Just edited my post to acknowledge that.

was great on the boards again today, but yeah just too timid shooting/finishing around the rim... needs to go up and finish with conviction

Had a great game last time around. More confident in what he wanted to do with the ball. He will have off nights but is still averaging 11 rebounds per. Not worried.

JB will get him going for tomorrow as it is a big game. I expect him to respond from today's game with a big one against UCONN
I seem to recall these swings last year. If JB can motivate him for the biggies, that's a big plus. But the light has to go on every game in this season's conference games throughout his senior year if he hopes to get a serious look from the NBA...imho.
