Robinson Sets New 400-Meter Record in Boston
Another week, another school record for the Syracuse track team.
On the heels of Martin Hehir's record-breaking performance in the mile, Rebecca Robinson carved her own name into the 'Cuse record book on Sunday, finishing the 400-meters in 54.12 seconds at Boston's Scarlet and White meet.
Robinson's time ranks 30th in the nation this season and she won the event by .62 seconds over Deysha Smith-Jenkins of UConn.
Freshman Danielle Delgado also turned in a strong performance for the Orange, finishing the 60-meter hurdles in 8.92 seconds, which was good for fifth at the meet.
Syracuse also had a host of runners in the 200-meters with Sabrina Cammock (24.56/13th) and Bria Goodson (24.69/15th) leading the pack for SU.
The Orange only brought a small contingent to the meet this weekend as the team prepares for the Boston University Valentine's Day Invite next weekend.
