I would assume you had plenty of rewards points to cash in by 2003. The loss to Iowa in 1980, IU in 87, Rhode Island in 88, Illinois in 89, Minnesota in 90, just to name a few. There was enough heartbreak so that 2003 was a long overdue return on investment.

Well, '87, '88', '89 were legitimate title contenders. Maybe even '80--although Boeheim was probably too green to go all the way that year.

Yeah I mentioned 90 cuz I felt we lost to a mediocre Minnesota team in the round of 32. If we had won I believe we would have GTech for the chance to go to the F4. You're right we didn't have a PG but with DC, Owens, Thompson , Dave Johnson we weren't short on talent.

I hate the nit-pick, but I think the Minnesota game was Sweet 16. We beat a Terry Holland Virginia team, in Richmond, the previous round.
